Book Harvest provides books to Triangle children in need.
A nonprofit organization, we work with our community to collect new and gently used children's books and to provide these books to children who need them.
We believe that having plenty of books at home helps children start kindergarten ready to learn, combat summer learning loss once they are in school, and self-identify as readers.
We believe books are a vital tool to help all kids succeed in school and in life.
In its first three and a half years, Book Harvest collected and distributed more than 230,000 donated books to children in need throughout the Triangle.
Every child needs books -- yet more than half of low-income kids do not own a single book. Working together, we can rewrite that story.
