In our first five years, our generous community donated over 500,000 books to Book Harvest. More than 200 book drives have been run in schools, workplaces, congregations, civic organizations, retail stores, scout troops, alumni/ae groups, running clubs, and book clubs, and by people celebrating milestones such as birthdays and graduations. Many of our book drive captains were children and teens.
Our biggest public event of 2016 was itself a book drive. For the fourth year in a row, we held a giant community-wide book drive on MLK Day. Thousands of people donated more than 28,000 books in a single day, helping greatly to fuel our work. Since 2011, the Triangle community has answered our call for books with profound generosity and stunning effectiveness.

The inflow of books is testament to our community’s commitment to ensuring that all our children grow up in homes where books are plentiful. Thank you!
